Job Summary
Monitor the implementation of strategies for earlier diagnosis, enrolment/linkage to care and increase access to quality HIV treatment for children and adolescents for retention purposes, improved viral load suppression.
Overall Responsibilities
1. Monitor the implementation of planned pediatric and adolescent activities then write and submit periodic reports to supervisor.
2. Conduct targeted Pediatric & adolescent capacity building based on clearly identified needs i.e. mentorship and support supervision.
3. Monitor the implementation of interventions for targeted identification of HIV exposed infants, HIV infected children and adolescents including successful linkage into care.
4. Monitor the implementation of strategies for retention of HIV exposed infants, HIV infected children and adolescents into care and establish functional-friendly pediatric and adolescent HIV clinics in line with national Pediatric & adolescent HIV//AIDs strategies.
5. Monitor implementation of improving functional systems for the provision of pediatric & adolescent counselling services.
6. Monitor the implementation of strategies to improve viral load coverage and suppression rates among HIV positive children and adolescents.
7. Monitor the implementation of the integrated community service delivery model for children and adolescents living with HIV.
8. Monitor the Integration and implementation of Quality Improvement (QI) for pediatric & adolescent HIV services and continuously provide feedback on pediatric & adolescent service improvement.
9. Strengthen partnerships & coordination with the district, CBOs, OVC partners to have coordinated and harmonized implementation of strategies to improve pediatric and adolescent HIV care.
Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:
• Bachelor of Public health or Diploma in Clinical Medicine or Diploma in Nursing.
• 2 year relevant working experience in HIV programs/projects with the ability to mentor.
• 2 Years Relevant Experience
